I spent 10 days in Bhutan. It wasn't nearly enough to see anything but a small slice of it. But that slice was amazing. I had almost the best food I have had in my life, climbed up 3 hours to get to a temple built in the rock face, almost 10,000 feet above sea level, and I had the best snowball fight ever, inside a monastery. When I got there, I had no clue of what to expect. I landed, and after a quick car ride, we saw a festival that just happened to be there. Lady luck seemed to be on our side the whole trip. Even clearing the fog so we could fly out over the mountains where we started from so we didn't have to drive back to the international airport. I went to so many different temples, you wouldn't even believe! Bhutan, for the most part practices Buddhism and there were giant, beautiful ornate statues of the First and second Buddha, and their disciples and other important figures in their culture. Our guide, Yeshi was so funny and nice. He was so informative and educated on the subjects. (He was also a vicious snowball thrower) It was hard to leave Bhutan, but other places still lie ahead. Thanks for Reading!
